Where has 1 year gone???

Happy Birthday to you, sweet Liza!!!




Today is your actual birthday and I can't help but wonder, where on earth did the year go? You have brought a whole new meaning to the word JOY....we love you so much!

Things about you at right now:

• You are still trying to walk, but would rather hold on to something with one hand.


• You still have one blue eye and one blue with brown eye.


• You have 8 teeth (one brand new one just in time for your birthday).
• You weigh 24 pounds.


• You love to eat and are a great eater... Your favorites are any type of fruits!


• You can say "da-da" and finally "ma-ma." Occasionally I will hear a "bye-bye" while you wave...and even though only daddy and me can understand it, you love to say "hello" into a telephone (or remote control....it sounds more like you are saying "a ro").


• You are sure trying to learn how to blow a kiss....you almost have it down.

Things I adore about you right now:

• The way you hug: you lean your head into whatever it is you are wanting to hug.


• The way you cuddle. You went from being such a busy body around 9 months to still being a busy body....but one that will stop every now and then to cuddle with us. You lean your head on our shoulder and say "ooooooo."


• The way you cuddle with a stuffed animal or doll...you lean your head over and put the animal to your cheek and say the same "ooooo."


• The way you need and love me so much....but adore your daddy!


• The way a soft blanket will make you instantly pop your thumb in your mouth....and in not much longer you are out.


• The way you crawl....you look like a crab in a shell using your right leg to drag along the rest of your body.


• How friendly you are....you love to wave to everyone.


• The way you just started clapping and dancing to music.....you already have more rhythm than your daddy.


• The precious laugh you have. You will laugh at anything....even just hearing someone else laugh sends you laughing. And sometimes it is a deep, almost evil laugh....


• How feisty you can be sometimes......waving something away and saying, "n-n-n-n-n-n-n" when you are sick of it or don't want it anymore (food, drink, toy, me, etc.).


• Your squinty smile when the sun is too bright...you crinkle up your nose....so cute!
