2 Milestones in 1 Week!

Liza has never been one to hold her own bottle...and definitely not a sippie cup. My first question at her 12 month check-up was, "How is she supposed to get off the bottle and still drink at least 20 ounces of milk a day when she won't even hold a cup???" Our pediatrician assured us that she can hold a cup....she just didn't want to. So, after a couple of days of making her do it....and worrying that my child would be hospitalized for dehydration....she finally drinks (on her own)!

Then...I guess that made her feel like such a big girl....she decided it was time to walk. Friday night, while Lee and I were getting dressed in our room, she came walking in from her room. Our rooms connect so we could keep an eye on her while we got ready, but I guess she really wanted to get our attention. She just breezed on into our room as if she had always done it...

This video shows her doing both....obviously she is still an amateur....but she is getting better every day! This video was on Father's day....I love that she went to cuddle with Lee as if she knew it was his day to be cuddled on. :) We love you, Daddy! :)

In Mississippi for a quick visit...

Ready for the ride to MS....got our waters in hand!

What do you mean it takes 8 hours???!!!???

Okay....little bunny foo foo might make the trip bearable....

While there, we got to go see my Aunt JoAnn, Uncle Bud, and Mama Ann! Liza had so much fun playing with her great-grandmother! :)

All the girls!

Eating goldfish with Uncle Brantley...

He sure is a crazy uncle....

Atlanta Zoo and the last of the Birthday Celebrations!

Two weekends ago, my parents came to visit and have their celebration with Liza for her 1st birthday. We went to the zoo, swimming pool, and just had a fun, fun weekend! Enjoy some pics!

Putting lipstick on before I go to the pool....

Gotta cook some food first, too!

My cousin, Stewart Alford (and wife Amy), were in town for a bike race the same weekend and got to go out to eat!

Yes, this is a trophy. On Saturday morning of this weekend, Lee ran in a 5K here in Macon.....He came in 3rd! He continues to amaze me....not too long ago he never ran at all....now he is running and placing in races. He is going to kill me for posting this....but I had to brag! :)

Happy Birthday to Me!!! (4th time.....I got this game down....)

Yum....something sweet with fruit.....I'm in heaven......

Back off.....dont mess with my birthday pie!

Wahooo! I love my new rocking chair!

Thanks Nonnie and Granddaddy!

I can rock this way, too! (I couldn't get this pic to turn around...)

Off to the Atlanta Zoo!!!

Petting zoo...

Liza's favorite....by far....were the Panda Bears. This was a baby one only 9 months old!

She would've stood there and watched them all day....

Cooling down with a slushie....

Me and my little monkey....

Too cool for school.....

Liza's 1st Birthday Party

Liza's Macon Birthday Party was this Saturday. We had tons of fun! We played; ate food, cake and ice cream; and opened presents. There wasn't really a theme....just a lot of bright colors and balloons. I have to say, though, that I am disappointed in my picture taking. I didn't get many of Liza playing and enjoying her party, I took no pictures of the decorations....I did get some good ones of most of her friends that came, thanks to Claire, but none of Claire. :( Oh well! Enjoy the ones of her eating cake...because that's about all I got! :) It was a great day, though. Thank you to all our friends that came and made it special! :)

The Wild Hogs came rolling in....

Men will be hung by their feet...women and children taken hostage....even your dogs and cats are not safe.....the wild hogs have taken over Macon...

Today was such a fun treat for me.....I got to see my parents with their Harley crew! They have been on a trip to Savanah and Charleston and stopped by our house on their way home. It was so cute to see my parents and their friends riding in on their bikes with leather and all (and rain gear today). We even got to grab a hamburger with them at 5 Guys before they headed off into the sunset leaving nothing but dust behind.....

Doesn't my mom make a cute biker chick? And Joe looks bad to the bone....

Probably won't ever see this in front of my house again....
